Question:
Hello, I am wondering what hitch lock options you sell for my Thule bike rack model 914XT. I know that there is the Thule thstl2 but was wondering whether there was a less expensive option. Thank you.

Hi Andrew!
The Thule Roadway 4 Bike Carrier 914XT you have, as well as the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2, uses an M12 x 1.75 metric thread pitch for their pins. There aren't a lot of options for that size, but I do have two of them listed below:
Replacement Threaded Hitch Pin for RockyMounts Bike Racks - Qty 1 # RKY27MR
Replacement Hitch Lock Pod for RockyMounts Bike Rack # RKY12006
Hollywood Racks Threaded Hitch Lock for 2" Hitches # HRLHPT
Both of these use that same thread pitch and will fit your bike rack. Each include the lock and keys as well, but you would need to get two separate parts with the RockyMounts option. The Hollywood Racks option is an all in one part. Either way you go, these are going to be quite a bit less expensive than the Thule lock.
What kind of bikes are you carrying in your rack? And where do you typically go riding?

Thank you, Lazer. I carry usually 2 gravel bikes for my wife and I and mountain bike for my 7 year old. Because we have a 7 year old we are usually going to mellow trails in the Northeast. Thanks for your recommendations. Are the two locks equally durable, would you say? Best, Andrew
