Will the Progressive Dynamics # PD4645V Replace a Parallax 7345RU Converter in a 2005 Winnebago?

I have the lower part off our 2005 Winnebago that blew up on us. The box says parallax power supply model 7345RU retrofit . For series 6300 model 6345 only. 51092481-000 will this be a good replacement

Yes, the Progressive Dynamics Replacement Section # PD4645V is going to be a great replacement for the converter in your 2005 Winnebago. Since the box on yours shows Parallax model 7345RU and says it is a retrofit for the 6300 Series model 6345, the # PD4645V is the 45-amp replacement section you'll want.

I really like this upgrade because you're replacing just the lower converter section rather than having to replace the entire power center. The # PD4645V also gives you a smart charging system that does a much better job of maintaining your batteries than the older converter technology. It can be used with lead-acid, AGM, gel, and lithium batteries, so it also gives you some flexibility if you decide to change battery types down the road.

Since you mentioned the old converter blew up, I would also take a good look at the wiring and connections while you have everything opened up. Make sure there isn't any damaged or overheated wiring that needs to be addressed before installing the new converter.

I replaced my Magnetek 6345 CLOGI with the PD4600. Its been a few years back since I did the retro-fit myself. It went well, I think I recall getting some help from forums. The unit has worked w/o any problems. I would recommed it.
