How to Mount Sewer Hose On Top of 5th wheel Bumper

Question:

Hello, There is so much to know about sewer hoses! I am looking to mount an additional sewer hose storage ON TOP of my current fifthwheel bumper as there is a hitch planned to be welded to the frame underneath where the bumper mounts. I store my dump hose only in the bumper as I cannot get a standard coupling in it as it was deformed by the previous owner who clamped a heavy carrier to it : There is no other exposed frame except where the bumper mounts otherwise. So, what would you recommend for sewer pipe installation ON TOP of the bumper? Please keep in mind I want the fittings attached to the sewer pipe to fit inside the holder and needs to store 20ft of hose. Thanks for your help!

Hello again Phil! I would use the Valterra RV Sewer Hose Carrier # A04-5094BK you were looking at. You can pretty much mount it wherever you have the space, so mounting it on top of your bumper is fine.

However, I would expect to have to get creative with your mounting method. Hose clamps have worked well for others, but you can do whatever works best for your setup. It has a 4-1/2" inside diameter and will hold a 20' hose with the standard fittings attached, but the 90-degree elbow will definitely need to be removed and stored separately.

Did you go anywhere interesting with the Wildcat this summer?
