MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit For 2021 Northwoods Nash 24b Travel Trailer

Updated 08/20/2026 | Published 08/07/2026

Question:

Hi I have a 2021 Northwoods Nash 24b travel trailer. I’m looking to just upgrade the shackles and bolts on the suspension. I think My suspension is unique because it comes with shock absorbers from the factory. I also think my axles are a little unique because they are 4200 pound axles. I could be wrong the exact number but I know they are more than 3500 and less than 5500. Anyway I just want to make sure I get the correct part for my trailer. I’m looking at what’s best from Morryde.

Hey Patrick, thanks for reaching out. We can definitely provide you with an upgraded shackle kit for your 2021 Northwoods Nash 24b travel trailer, and you are right about the MORryde kits being the best available.

MORryde offers kits with the two most common shackle sizes, 2-1/4" long and 3-1/8" long. Please measure the current shackles (center hole to center hole) and select from the following:

- MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers - 2-1/4" Long Shackle Straps # MR46ZR

- MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers - 3-1/8" Long Shackle Straps # MR76ZR

Both kits come with 1/2" thick HD shackles, wet bolts and bronze bushings. Keep them properly greased and they will do a great job smoothing out and quieting down the suspension. Plus they will last a very long time. Oh also, axle capacity doesn't matter as long as we match the shackle length.

What is the hole-to-hole length of the stock shackles?

Definitely the MORryde wet bolts and shackles. I used them on Lippert’s Road Armor. I initially made a consequential mistake as I purchased the wrong size shackles. I ordered the 2-1/4” from Amazon. I went crazy trying to fit the wet bolts and shackles through the appropriate holes. I got to the last one on the leaf spring and tried every thing I could think of to make them work. I can’t count the number of times I adjusted the axels with the floor jack and jack stands. After several hours I gave up. Knowing we we leaving in just a few days I panicked. That night evening I went online to eTrailer and saw the two sizes. I called and them to order the 3-1/8” shackles and eTrailer got them to me the next day. They fit perfectly!!! So, as Jesse stated, measure! Best wishes!

Looks like they are 2 1/4. Do you know off hand what leaf springs I need for my camper? I have 4400 pound axles.

@PatrickH Ok awesome! The # MR46ZR kit is exactly what you'll need then. As far as the leaf springs, we should have a replacement for you, but leaf springs aren't make and model specific. You'll need to measure one of the current springs. Its best to jack up one side of the trailer so you can measure it unloaded. Leaf springs are measured from center eye to center eye. Let me know what measurement you come up with and I can see if we have a spring for you. Also note the number of leaves the spring has. For example, a very common spring for a 4.4K is the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # DX95CR which is 25-1/4" long.
