Hey Scott, thanks for reaching out. Yes, we can provide all the parts you need to flat tow your 2022 Ford F-150. It sounds like you already have a Roadmaster tow bar, and we can utilize the air connection on the back of your RV. Here is what I recommend:

- Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM38VR

- Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights - 7-Way to 6-Way Adapter Cord # RM38FR

- Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25

- Second Vehicle Kit for Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System # SM99209

- Replacement Air Jumper for Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System # SM99666

That will cover all the main components. The diode wiring kit I recommended is for vehicles with LED tail lights. If you have incandescent lights use part # RM26FR instead.

You may end up needing a drop hitch like part # BLU28XR to compensate for any height differences between the base plate arms and the hitch on your motorhome. Any difference of more than 3" will require a drop hitch.

Also, I am assuming the air connection on your coach is for the Demco Air Force One brake system. That is the most common air braking system out there but if you have something different just let me know.

Have you flat towed before? Or will this be your first time?

Scott. I purchased the Roadmaster wiring kit for LED taillights. There could be an issue with the diodes specifically on a Ford. This appears to be a common issue. My F550 gives me constant errors on the dashboard panel and eventually shuts down the towing power running through the 7 pin plug. What I have learned is that Ford set the voltage tolerances very tight and the F550 computer thinks there is a voltage drop off in the electrical line and shuts down. I’m told these tolerances can be modified in the computer but that Ford will not do it for “safety” reasons. I’m trying to find a shop that has the correct equipment to modify the computer settings. You can find the specific changes needed on the internet. Any kit using diodes will have similar issues on a Ford. Good luck!

@JeffH The smart diode kit worked great for me - with no adjustments needed. But I have a 2025 Ford Ranger- which is no help to you Sorry

@Steve I installed it on my 2023 F150 Lariat. No issues except that the wire was just enough to reach the back on my short bed truck. No extra.
