Hey Gene, thanks for reaching out. The head of the bolt included with the Curt Anti-Rattle Kit # C69HR is 0.93" across. So for that you'll want to use a 15/16" socket.

What kind of accessory will you be using the anti-rattle kit with? What do you carry with your hitch?

I use the anti-rattle on both my 2025 Subaru Crosstrek and my 2008 Honda Goldwing. I pull a Bunkhouse camper with both vehicles and it really reduces the noise and rattle on the hitch. I got it first for the motorcycle as it was quite noisy and the anti-rattle completely quiets the noise!

Simply put, the ant/rattle works. It’s a purchase that won’t disappoint you.

I feel like I could not do without this little accessory. I placed it inside the hollow part of my hitch shank with a strong piece of tape. It stays in place and removes all rattles with the things I tow. When not towing anything, I put the bolt back thru and tighten so it can't be lost.

Nothing beats getting rid of the rattle. This is a great item. However, I have not hooked it up to my new unit. Everything I get from Etrailer has no issues.
