Will The Yakima EXO Swing Away Y34ZR Work With A 2023 Ram ProMaster Van?

Checking to see if the EXO cargo storage and 2 bike system will work with a 2023 Ram Promaster van.

Hey Lynn, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Yakima EXO SwingBase System with the enclosed cargo carrier and 2-bike setup # Y34ZR works great on a 2023 Ram ProMaster 3500. The EXO's biggest advantage on a van is the SwingBase, which swings the entire system out of the way so you still have full access to the rear cargo doors without unloading your bikes or removing the cargo box.
Just make sure your ProMaster has a 2-inch hitch receiver with enough tongue weight capacity for the combined weight of the EXO system, the cargo you're carrying, and the bikes. As long as you're within those ratings, the # Y34ZR is an excellent setup for the ProMaster and one of my favorite options for adding both bike storage and secure cargo space to the back of a van.

Hello Lynn, I have the same Ram as a class B motorhome and purchased the exact product you are considering. Good for long trips. The main swing away portion is very heavy but manageable to install. Once in place I leave it until returned home. The storage is adequate and the bike rack is great. I added a 2” drop receiver as the rear doors will not open otherwise. It will add about 3 feet overall length. I now mostly use a storage bag over the spare tire and a simpler bike rack to reduce length.
