Question:

1988 Sterling single axle boat trailer, drum hydraulic Surg brakes. Looking to replace the one flexible line. I measure 14 overall length, 3/8 24 pitch, male one end, female the other. Cant seem to find exactly that?

Hey Stephen, thanks for reaching out. We do have a 3/8" - 24 brake line with male and female ends, but nothing that is exactly 14" long. Would an 18" long hose work? We do have that available as part # T0776500.

Or does your setup require a line that is exactly 14" long?

18" would work as far as length, but I'm having a heck of a time getting the brake line fittings to thread! They came apart with some effort, but now the connections at the master cylinder and the flex hose just won't thread. I'm about ready to give up and take it to my local trailer shop.

@StephenE I gotcha. It seems like the older a trailer gets, the more frustrating it is to work on. Are the threads on your master cylinder damaged or corroded? Might be time to replace that too.
