Brake Controller Recommendation for 2018 BMW iX3

Question:

Light trailer towed by BMW electric Ix3. Looking for controller that allows car to do all the work for light to medium and only activates for deceleration higher than 0.3 g.

Hey Chris, I highly recommend the Redarc Tow Pro Link part # RED57AR as it installs easily and works really well using an inertia sensor to determine how hard to apply your trailer brakes. It will wait till it senses you hitting the brakes (you can adjust how sensitive it will detect brakes) and also for the brake lights to come on so you won't get any false brake action. This installs by plugging inline with your 7-way so there's no splicing or wire cutting required.
