Will Install of Curt Hitch on 2024 Honda Passport Still Allow Hands Free Liftgate to Function

If my 24 Passport BLK Edition has the touch to open sensor do I need an adaptor?

Hey Joe, when installing the Curt hitch part # C13421 on your 2024 Honda Passport the hands free liftgate sensors will be partially obstructed. Typically you can just kick to either side of the hitch opening and the hands free liftgate will still function but Honda actually sells and an adapter for this that relocates the sensor so you get better activation from it. If it were me I would install the hitch first and see how well the hands free function works and if it's decent enough functionality and then from there decide if you want to go with the sensor kit.

When we installed a similar Draw Tite hitch on a 2021 Passport we found that it worked just fine by kicking to the side of the hitch opening. If you scroll down to the install video I linked on this page and fast forward to 1:55 you will see how it still works.
