How Adjustable are the Flanges on the Vitrifrigo RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer?

Updated 08/03/2026 | Published 07/28/2026

Question:

How adjustable are the installation Flanges?. This unit is 1.5inch shorter than my current Refrigerator, and .5inch narrower. This does not take into consideration the amount of clearance on the current install. I would really like to know how much coverage the adjustable flanges give. Thank you.

Hello Larry,

Thanks for writing in!

I reached out to the manufacturer to verify this for you because I wanted to make sure I gave you the correct information. They confirmed that the mounting flange on the Vitrifrigo RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer, 8.1 cu ft, Stainless Steel # VT96FR is not adjustable. It is designed as a flush mount refrigerator, so the flange is fixed and does not provide additional coverage to make up for a larger cabinet opening.

I also found that our product information could be clearer on this point, so I'm working on getting that corrected to help prevent confusion for future customers.

The fixed trim flange measures 24-13/16" wide by 53-3/8" tall, which provides approximately 11/32" of coverage on each side and about 3/16" of coverage at the top and bottom when installed in the recommended 24-1/8" x 53" opening. Since the flange does not adjust, I would recommend comparing those trim dimensions to your existing refrigerator opening to make sure they will provide enough coverage for a clean, finished look.

Can you double check those trim dimensions against your current opening and let me know if they will work for your installation? If not, I'd be happy to help you find a refrigerator that is a better match.
