Tailgate Seal for 2025 Ford Ranger Lariat

I have a 2025 Ford Ranger, Lariat and looking for a tailgate seal. The gaps are large and was wondering if you have recommendation. thanks.

Hey Phil!

To fill the gaps on your 2025 Ford Ranger Lariat's tailgate, you will want to use the Extang MaxSeal Tailgate Seal # EX1140. This seal is 1-3/8" wide and 10' long, and it'll be the thickest of all of our tailgate seals and you'll have a little left over once you fill all of the gaps on your tailgate. What do you typically haul in the bed of your Ranger? Are you using a tonneau cover with the truck, or just sealing the tailgate?

Thank you. Yes I plan to buy a fold up hard bed cover with a full bed access feature. Would it be best to install the tailgate seal with the cover installed or maybe. It doesn't matter? Also, do you have any recommendations for a bed cover? Thanks again.

@PhilK To give you the best weather resistance, adding the seal and a tonneau cover will be your best option. The seal will still work without a cover, but the cover adds another layer to give your truck the best setup. For a cover, my favorite tonneau cover is the Pace Edwards JackRabbit # PE22JJ. That's more on the premium side, so there are other options like Lomax Hard Tonneau Cover # LOM87NR or Leer Latitude Soft Tonneau Cover # LE59MR which are both still great options while being a better price.
