Hey Scott, welcome back! So since we know your 2021 KZ Durango gold G356RLT has a tandem 8k axle setup the correct and best parts you need to convert it to disc brakes would be to start with the Kodiak 8k dacromet coated disc brake kit part # KOD67VR. This is a single axle set of left and right assemblies so you would need two of these.
Then for a kit that includes everything else you'll need you would want the Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Kit for Disc Brakes - 1,600 psi # HBA16-252-82 which will give you the best actuator out there that is the most reliable and quickest reacting. Once this is all installed your braking power will be drastically improved! What brake controller do you have installed in your truck?

We have the MORryde Independent Suspension that came with these Kodiak disc brakes and Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator and have always performed well. I never have a question about if the trailer has enough brakes. Actuating the trailer brakes only from my cab can stops the whole rig. Make sure they are bled properly as that affects the response of the brakes, otherwise just treat them like the brakes on your vehicle, make sure check that pads don't wear to metal and feel safe going up or down wherever you go.
