If you have the factory 7-way connector on the rear of your 2008 Jeep Liberty, You may be interested in the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 118381, to give you a 4-way connector. I have attached a link to a product review video for this harness you can check out.
If you do not have the connector on the rear of your Jeep, I recommend the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 118554. This is an easy installation that requires no cutting or splicing and will give yo ua 4-way connector at the rear of your Liberty. I have included a link to an installation video for this harness you can take a look at.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. this keeps dirt and moisture out of the connections and helps prevent corrosion.
