I just purchased a 2015 Subaru Forrester. Can you tell me the best trailer hitch for this model? Would I need to purchase anything else to go along with it? Thank you.

For your 2015 Subaru Forester, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 75876. This is a Class lll hitch and has a 2 inch receiver opening.

There are several ways you can use this hitch on your Forester, from towing a trailer to carrying hitch mounted accessories like bike carriers or cargo carriers.

If you are planning on towing with this setup, I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit, part # 989900. This kit includes 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, the pin and clip and a handy storage bag. I have attached a product review video for this ball mount kit you can check out.

If you are planning on towing with this system and do not have the wiring at the rear of your vehicle to attach to a trailer, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # C56040.
