Hi Dorothy! I think the Benton MoveHitch Cargo Carrier, Part # B38VR, is exactly what you're after. It only weighs 45 pounds, so it's much easier to put on and take off than most cargo carriers. Since it's made from aluminum, you get the lighter weight without giving up strength, and it's still rated to carry up to 500 pounds. Most steel carriers weigh around 56 pounds or more, so those extra pounds really add up when you're installing it by yourself.

One thing I really like about this carrier is how simple it is to use. If you need to get into the back of your vehicle, just press the button and the carrier tilts down. There's no crawling underneath to pull a pin or wrestling with it. When you're done using it, it folds up neatly behind the vehicle, and when it's time to put it away, the shank folds into the tray so it doesn't take up nearly as much space in the garage. It even comes with a cargo net, so you're ready to load it up and hit the road.

Just out of curiosity, what are you planning to carry most of the time? Camping gear, coolers, or something else?
