Question:

My 2013 Jayco Eagle has slide-out toppers that have seen better days. The brackets and rods are tweaked and worn and the fabrics are stained and beginning to fray badly. The trailer does not have Solera mounting brackets pre installed. Would the eTrailer toppers work, or are the Solera brackets required for installation?

Welcome back Bryan! The 84" Wide etrailer RV Slide-Out Topper item # e49QV will indeed work without Solera brackets. We've got an adapter that can be purchased separately that attaches our toppers to Solera brackets.

The 84" Wide etrailer RV Slide-Out Topper item # e49QV comes with mounting brackets that will be attached to your slide out's top corners. Our brackets come with butyl tape on the back of them. The tape will provide a water proof seal to cover your older bracket's mounting holes if the new ones do not line up. This is going to prevent any leaks.

The 84" Wide etrailer RV Slide-Out Topper item # e49QV is designed for 74" - 79-3/4" slide outs, which is measured from the outside of the left flange to the outside edge of the right flange. Please note you will need 3" of clearance on each side of your slide out for the topper to fit. If you have less you'll need to drop down to the next side topper.

I attached a couple of pictures below so you can see the brackets that come with our etrailer item # e49QV and what it'll look like once it's installed.

How wide is your Jayco's slide out and do you have at least 3" of clearance on either side of it?
