Looking for Advent 13.5k BTU Low Profile RV AC Unit with Thermostat

Part Number: ADV66SR Advent A/C: will this work with the Part Number: ADV47QR replacement thermostat ? Is that wired, this is a duct-ed system replacing one unit and separating it from the Dometic thermostat. Thanks

Hey Peter, yes the Advent thermostat part # ADV47QR that you referenced would be able to control the Advent AC unit part # ADV66SR. Now with that saidit might make the most sense to go with a kit that includes an air box like you would need as well as a matching thermostat at like the part # ADV65SR. With just this part number you'd have everything you'd need. How did you like the Dometic setup you had?

May not have explained this well. I do not want to cut any holes in the ceiling to add a lower vent, just want to hook it up to the existing duct-work. The existing Dometic unit and thermostat will still run A/C heat and furnace, this unit will run independently and just cool. I own an old Dutch Star and to replace both units w/ new Dometic and controls will cost about 1/4 of the value of my RV. I have been told you can not mix old and new Dometic units w/ old thermostat. @PeterT are you wanting to add an AC unit into the ducting in your roof where there isn't an AC unit currently? Or have this replace your second AC unit? You cannot mix newer AC units with older ones as there was a big law change in what refrigerants can be used which means the entire kits need to be replaced at same time as old parts don't work with newer upper units.

@JamesonC Just want a unit that will work with a new independent thermostat in my existing (shared) ducting in one of the 2 a/c spots independent of my a/c unit in front running the a/c , heat and furnace for the front , so if I want the rear ac to turn on I use the new thermostat in the rear totally independent of what is up front. I realize I will need to drill a hole to wire the thermostat to regulate the new unit.

@Pete I see what you mean. Yes you would just need a single zone AC setup that will be able to be controlled by a new thermostat in the second area like you said. So the # ADV65SR that I mentioned initially would accomplish that. This is a ducted setup that comes with an included thermostat that will work independent of what you have now.

No, it does not Gary. The Replacement Thermostat for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners item #ADV47QR just includes the thermostat. You'll be able to reuse your existing thermostat wire to connect to your new system if your old one had a thermostat.…

The Cyclone part #CAM40595 is designed to mount to 1-1/2 inch diameter pipes. If that is what you have on your trailer this would work well. If you need something bigger the solar paneled #UF53-945001 would be a great option as well.
