Question:
I have a 2020 ram ram box truck that I put a Demco double pivot in as a fixed hitch and just curious if you could use the head off of a Demco slider to keep the Sidewinder instead of the wedge

Hey Robert,
The Replacement Head for Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # DM6081 will not work in place of the head of a Demco UMS Double Pivot 5th Wheel Hitch - Single Jaw - Ram Prep Package - 31K # DM67GV. The Autoslide head is designed to work only on Autoslide bases, so you would need to stick with the head that's included and use the wedge for your Sidewinder to prevent pivoting or contact with your Ramboxes.
Is this a new truck or are you just setting up a new system in the truck you already had? What kind of trailer or you pulling with the truck?
