Question:

Want to replace a dometic brisk air ducted ac unit that doesnt have a air dump vent. Its a sealed system. I would like to buy the furrion chill cube with remote and heat strip. I still have a furnace working working of my dometic thermostat. So im looking for everything I need to make this plug and play and will use the remote to control the unit

Hey Mike, since you said it's a sealed system it sounds like what you have is a top down RV AC setup that doesn't' have any roof vent at all and instead blows only into ducting in the RV roof. We can help as we do have a similar system that fits this configuration but we haven't been able to get Furrion to confirm for us that a Chill Cube can be installed in this orientation.

What we do have that is similar and would work is the GE Low Profile RV AC unit part # GE46RR which also has a heat pump and I confirmed with GE that it can fit a top down setup. They were just here last week and I asked them about this and they said it will work if you install it with lag bolts and put the control box in the area under the upper unit.

This would be plug and play to a certain extent as you can reuse your thermostat communication wiring but the rest of everything would need to be replaced. It does not have a remote at this time but the thermostat that comes with it would work with your furnace unlike the Furrion.
