Gooseneck Pin Box Conversion For A 2016 Forest River Stealth 5th Wheel Toy Hauler With 1716 Pin Box

Question:

I have a 2016 FR Stealth 5th wheel toy hauler. It has a Lippert hitch that I would like to convert to gooseneck. The tag on mine says: LCI Item Number 336925 and S/N S000100964. What gooseneck conversions do you offer. Would prefer BandW, but open to suggestions. Thank you

Thanks for those LCI and S/N numbers, it made identifying what you have a lot easier! What you have is the 1716 pin box. This is not the most common pin box and there isn't a B&W option available for it quite yet (that may change in the future, I'm just not sure when). That said, check out the following options:

MORryde GooseTech 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box for 11.5K to 14K Trailers w/ Lippert 1716 # MR39MV
Gen-Y Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Lippert 1116/1716 - 30K GTW # GY48FR

Both of these will fit a 1716 pin box, but they do have different tongue weight capacities. If you let me know which floor plan your Stealth is, I can definitely get you the best option (it looked like there were a bunch of different options and the hitch weight varied pretty widely between them). The Gen-Y options would have covered for pretty much any of them, but the MORryde could be completely different depending on which you have.

Both of these also require no adjusting or maintenance (other than keeping it clean), but that does mean you can't loosen or tighten the ride. If you wanted an option that could be adjusted to fit your load, the Shocker Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter w/ Demco eZ-Latch for Lippert and Fabex Boxes - 24K # SHK49YR is a great option. The Demco EZ-Latch coupler is one of the easiest to use on the market and the air bag makes this very customizable to your specific load.

One thing to note when you switch to a gooseneck like this is you will need to use safety chains. Depending on which you go with, I do have the corresponding chains listed below:

Gen-Y # GY49GR
MORryde # MR23MV
Shocker Hitch # SHK35MR
