Furrion Chill Cube With Heat Pump For 2019 Jayco North Point 377RLBH

Question:

I have a 2019 Jayco North Point 377RLBH and Im looking to replace both AC units with Furrion Chill Cubes with heat pumps and a wall-mounted thermostat with app control. In addition to the AC units themselves, what else description/PN do I need to complete the system? If i get the AC units with heat pumps, are heat strips unnecessary? How is my propane heat integrated to the system?

Hi Gabriel! Your 2019 Jayco North Point 377RLBH has a ducted setup so you need one of the following:

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32 # FR67TQ

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - Black - R32 # FR97TQ

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump and Thermostat - Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32 # FR59TQ

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump and Thermostat - Ducted - 18K Btu - Black - R32 # FR27TQ

All of these are complete systems with everything you need for installation. This includes the air distribution box and remote which acts as the thermostat. The units listed with "Thermostat" in the title also include a wall thermostat. None of these have app control, and I'm not aware of an aftermarket thermostat with app control that is Chill Cube compatible at this time.

A heat strip isn't available for the Chill Cube, but you wouldn't need it with the heat pump anyway. As far as your furnace is concerned, you can try to use the wall thermostat to control the furnace. However, there have been compatibility issues Furrion hasn't resolved so I can't say for sure it will work.

What I recommend is running the furnace off of your existing thermostat separately so you don't have a problem. Then you can completely forgo the installation of the Chill Cube wall thermostat and run it off the remote to simplify your installation.

Where are you headed next with the Jayco once you get your AC replaced?
