Hello Kevin,
Thanks for finally finding a reason to write in!
With your 2015 Attitude toy hauler having a dry weight of 8,640 pounds, I'm thinking you'll probably be somewhere in the 10,000 to 11,000-pound range once you're loaded up for a trip. If that sounds way off, let me know.
I always recommend choosing a weight distribution hitch based on your loaded tongue weight, not the dry weight. Ideally, your tongue weight should be between 10% and 15% of your trailer's loaded weight, so you're probably looking at somewhere between 1,000 and 1,650 pounds. Getting your trailer loaded so it falls in that range will give you the best towing experience.
If you're wanting to stick with an Equal-i-zer, I'd recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW # EQ37120ET. It has built-in sway control, is extremely well built, and has been one of our most popular systems for years. Just keep in mind that it's designed for loaded tongue weights between 800 and 1,200 pounds, so if your tongue weight ends up much above that once you're loaded, we'd want to move up to the next size.
If you're open to spending a little more, I'm a big fan of the Weigh Safe True Tow Weight Distribution Hitch # WS94RR. The built-in tongue weight scale (please see the attached image) is a really nice feature, and the Weigh Safe app takes all the guesswork out of the initial setup. Just hook up your trailer, open the app, enter a few details about your setup, and it walks you through adjusting the hitch so you get optimal performance.
I added 2 different videos that my buddy Brad put together.
Getting things dialed in for the next great adventure, where are you headed to this time?
