Updated 06/30/2026 | Published 06/24/2026

Question:

I have a 2024 Telluride SX X-Line. What wiring harness should I get that doesn’t require tapping into the headlights with the factory installed connection point?

Hey Tyler, thanks for the picture! The only wiring harness I have for your 2024 Telluride SX X-Line, is the Curt item # C29ZV. It installs behind the rear tail lights and provides you with a 4-way connector.

I linked an installation video below that will show you how to get it installed.

I'm not sure where that port is located in your picture but I don't have anything that will connect to a factory tow package on your Telluride if that's what it connects to.

What kind of trailer are you pulling and do you need a hitch as well?

I also have a Telluride and I had an installer install this very Curt connector at the rear taillight. It works great and I couldn’t be happier.

I have a 2024 sx prestige x line. It has a some kind of factory tow capability because it has the dash button, but no prewiring that I know of. I used the curt hitch and wiring harness. It plugs into the taillight connectors like they say. Wiring harness works fine.

I have a 2023 SX Prestige X-Pro and I was easily able to install the wiring harness by myself simply following the video. It was straight forward utilizing the existing connectors and simply plugging them to the jumpers on the harness. Determining the best path to run the line for making the jumper connection to the battery was the most difficult thing and even this was relatively easy.
