Looking for 2.5 inch Hitch Weight Distribution Shank
Updated 06/29/2026 | Published 06/22/2026 >
Question:
Hi, I just upgraded from a 1500 to a 2500 2 inch receiver to a 2.5 inch receiver currently. We have an e2 round bar weight distribution hitch. Do you sell a 2.5 inch shank for that so I can just replace the shank? The shank section is 12 inches longwise and 2 inches wide where it meets the actual ball section. Any help would be appreciated

Hey Travis, we have just what you need with the 2.5 inch weight distribution shank part # EQ90-02-4900 which fits your new hitch size, is compatible with your Fastway system, and can provide a drop of up to 6 inches. How do you like the Fastway system?

It’s a game changer! I used the sleeve and there was so much play I couldn’t stand it. After purchasing the equalizer, it’s so much better now.

I hesitated about the cost but was so frustrated with the adapter I final did it. It was worth it, seems so much more connected and noticably less play. I would recomend it.

2.5 shank is a solid beast. Ditch the sleeve. Highly recommend.

When I moved up to the 2500 with 2.5 receiver, I tried an adapter sleeve. One trip proved that a pain. I got the bigger shank and that was the only way to go. Pull the trigger. IMHO you won't regret it.
