Question:
I own a 2012 Jayco Eagle Super Lite 314 BDS. Had nothing but trouble with the compartment latches and locks looking for stainless steel replacements. Would you be able to help me out. From Canada. If not would you be able to street me in the right direction Ken

Hi Kenneth,
I can definitely understand wanting to upgrade those latches if they've been giving you trouble. We carry several stainless steel options, such as the Replacement Thumb Turn Cam Latch Cylinder part # 295-000012, which is designed for a 3/4 inch diameter mounting hole and has a 1-1/8 inch cylinder length. That may be similar to what you're looking for, but Jayco used a few different baggage door latches over the years, so I would want to verify the dimensions of your existing latch before recommending a specific replacement.
If you're looking for stainless steel replacements, the best way to identify the correct latch is by measuring the cutout size in the baggage door and, if possible, sending a photo of one of the existing latches. If you can provide the mounting hole diameter and cylinder length, I'd be happy to help narrow down the best stainless steel replacement for your 2012 Jayco Eagle Super Lite 314BDS. We do deliver to Cananda as well.
Unrelated question, What do you usually stash in those Eagle compartments on your trips?

For sure, the best length i can see is 1", the VIN# at Jayco days typically 7/8", might be 1 1/8", the diameter is 3/4" with offset 1 1/4" latch arm. I need one keyed center and two just latches left and right. Can't see a way to send picture Looking for stainless steel

Heather, I tried a new 11/8 " from our local RV supplier after hearing different views on how they're measured. Their 1 1/8" , actually has 1" of threads with a 1/8" of no threads between the latch connector which is an additional 1/8 " for a total overall length of of 1 1/4". Since my door thicknesses is 1" there are no threads to catch. Do you have the same thing in a what they would call 11/4", 1 3/8"?
