Question:

Hi, I have a 2002 trailstar trailer. the Hub is stamped h1377. The bearings i took out were l44649 and l68149. the races were l44610 and l68110. I went to get a replacment set not from you guys and the package I got had the correct bearings l44610 race and l68111 race which was too big and the seal was too big. My question is did this hub change and now runs different sizes and should I just buy a new hub assembly? thanks

Hey Jack,

Your hub didn't change. You still have one of the most common sized hubs, so you'll easily be able to find the parts, but we don't have them as a kit. The great news is that you don't need to purchase a whole new kit since you already have most of the parts. You'll just want to make sure you buy a quantity of 1 for each hub in your setup.

A typical 3,500 pound axle hub uses the following parts:

Inner bearing: # L68149 (1.378" inner diameter)
Outer bearing: # L44649 (1.063" inner diameter)
Inner race: # L68111
Outer race: # L44610
Grease seal: 58846 (1.719" inner diameter, 2.565" outer diameter)

It is possible your hub instead uses the # 168233 grease seal which has 2.332" outer diameter and 1.688" inner diameter as well as a # L68110 race, which has 2.327" outer diameter. To make sure everything is correct before ordering, it'd be best if you measured the spindle with a caliper like 4" Carbon Fiber Digital Caliper # PTW80157.

Assuming this is for your boat, how often are you using it? Where have you been taking this trailer?
