Question:
I have a customer that has a stick and tin RV. Will this work for a stick and tin? I have a concern that it cant sit flush with the sidewall that it will cause a leak or I will have to fill the gaps with a ton of sealant. Thank you.

Hey John, yes the SmartPlug RV/Marine Data Port Inlet # SM36MJ can work on a stick and tin RV. That's what a lot of people use these on actually. What RV do you have? You can use a non-sag sealant like the # 344270341437-1 since this would attach to the side of a wall.

This is a great SmartPlug. Very durable and looks like it belongs there, not something added. Mine sets flat against the RV exterior exterior wall and the gasket seals it just fine. I use it to hook up my exterior StarLink cable The interior cable is connected to the back side of the plug which is running to my router. You will need to order the 2 connections, or a blank that you want to use with the SmartPlug. I highly recommend this Plug.

We have an airstream (stick & tin) rv, and it works great sits as snug as the OEM version. We have two on our rv, because we have the model with a power connection at the front of the unit near the hitch & another on side at the more traditional location in both locations the gasket that comes with the smart plug completely bridges the gap between the sidewall and plug.
