Updated 07/07/2025 | Published 01/25/2025

Question:

I am installing a starlink mini on my airstream, and need an inlet port to accommodate both the starlink and cable connections. Can you guide me to the correct product? Will also needed the necessary connectors. Thanks!

Hey Larry, the Smartplug part # SM96MJ is the correct part you are looking for as this has ability to have an ethernet connection for your Starlink and a coax for the cable connection. For the ethernet connector you would need the part # SM38MJ and then for the coax part # SM76MJ. You will also need a Starlink to Ethernet adapter which we do not carry.

Are these the two connectors you need for sure?

I believe so! Thanks! Are those trailer or SmartPlug stock numbers? (Put another way - do I order from you - or SmartPlug?

I am not very techy, but this SM96M Smartplug appears that it would wotk great for my Gen 3 Starlink. Does ihe SM38M ethernet connector have a front and back ethernet connection hub for connecting the Starlink cable with factory connections. I would not want to cut this cable to attach the individual wires. It has to be simple like plug and play! I look forward to your reply. I want to get my Starlink up and running as soon as possible. Would this be a sheilded connection? Thanks

@Bill You are correct. The connection between the Starlink satellite and the router is not ethernet. I looked at my Starlink setup to confirm this and this is true. I did find that a few places like Best Buy sell Starlink to ethernet adapters so the above mentioned setup could work but you would need to source an additional adapter that we don't carry.
