Is There a 2-Step Version of the TorkLift GlowStep Stow N' Go for a 2020 Lance 1475?

Question:

I am looking at your Tork Lift Glow Step Stow and go scissor 3 step with landing gear P/N TLA7833. The 3 step will not work for my 2020 Lance 1475 camper. Is there a 2 step of this model available? Also what are the dimensions of the 2 step model, if available, for mounting? I am seeing the 2 step model on the new Lance 1475 campers, but the space for the step may be larger. Thanks

Hello John,

First off, I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. We had quite the spike in questions come through, and are getting caught up.

You are correct that the 3-step TorkLift GlowStep Stow N' Go with Landing Gear # TLA7833 is typically too large for the step opening on a 2020 Lance 1475.

After looking into your setup, it looks like you already found the option I would have recommended. The TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Uprising Steps with Booster Step # TLA9103 uses a 2-step design with a booster step above it. So while it starts as a 2-step, you still end up with three stepping surfaces without needing the extra room required by a traditional 3-step assembly.

The # TLA9103 is built around a 24" mounting base, which is one of the reasons it works so well on many Lance trailers. Looking at the available space on your Lance, I actually like the # TLA9103 better than trying to make a 3-step Stow N' Go work. You get the extra step height that makes getting in and out of the camper more comfortable, but in a package that fits the trailer much better.

I attached TorkLift's sizing chart as well. If you'd like to double-check your measurements, measure from the ground to the top of the threshold with the trailer sitting level. The # TLA9103 is designed for a 24" doorway with an entry height between 19-7/8" and 27-3/8". If your measurements fall within that range, you'll know you're right where TorkLift intended that step to be used.

Honestly, it looks like you landed on the same setup I would have picked. Once you get it installed, I think you're going to be really happy with it.

Hi, I bought a Totklift 3-steps Glow Steps Glow N Go but I did not measure it correctly, and so I added another step. Make sure to take your time and measure it carefully. It’s easy to do it but it will take at least two hours of your time. I have a FWC Fleet model with an ARB rear bumper and I bolted the metal bracket that came with the Torklift steps kit to the bumper. This scissor steps is well made, sturdy, stable and easy to stow away. The only thing I don’t like about this Torklift scissor steps is the gap between the first step and metal bracket. There’s about 5-6 inches gap and so I have a fabricator made a detachable metal plate to bridge the gap space. This metal spacer will prevent accident in case you slip and slide inside the gap. I hope Torklift will notice this issue and address the deficiency. I have several photos but I couldn’t upload them since my ICloud is full. Next time though…
