I have a Blue Ox WD hitch with a 600 capacity but need to upgrade to an 800 capacity. Can I just upgrade the bars and keep the same hitch head and trailer tongue components?

Hey Matt! Yes, you can upgrade the spring bars for a higher rating on your Blue Ox WDH. The Replacement Spring Bars for Blue Ox 2-Point Weight Distribution System # BLU64XR you looked at are rated for 1,200 lbs, so a setup with a tongue weight of 800 lbs - 1,200 lbs. If you want the 800 lb spring bars that would be the # BLU44XR.

Yes, I contacted Blue Ox, I brought mine up from 800 to 1200 ( purchased the bars from etrailer) no problems at all. Using the new beefier bars and didn’t have to get a new system. Safe Travels
