I have a 2020 Jeep Cherokee latitude plus 4x4. Will these mirrors fit my car? Towing a travel trailer. Thank you

Hi Denise,

If you're wanting towing mirrors for your 2020 Jeep Cherokee Latitude, the CIPA Universal Deluxe Door-Mount Mirrors part # 11650-2 may work, but you'll need to check that your car doors don't have a plastic body molding at the bottom of the door. Because these mirrors install with brackets and straps they need a metal door frame edge to install on. I've included a photo of the mirrors installed so you can see where the strap attaches.

If your Jeep Cherokee does have plastic molding at the bottom of your doors, I suggest you use the K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors - Clip On part # KS3990. The KS3990 mirrors use rachet straps across the back of your mirror that can be tightened to easily install and secure it. The pivoting joints in the middle of the arms all the mirrors to be further adjusted to whatever angle you need while towing. The dual mirrors will also give you an expanded view of the road and the trailer while you're towing, so you can safely change lanes and back up without blind spots.

What travel trailer are you towing with your Jeep Cherokee?

I have read the reviews on the suggested mirrors and not quite sure about them. There are some good reviews and some not good reviews. KS3990. Can you suggest something better?

@DeniseR I understand, with any universal mirror there is typically a decent amount of adjustment involved to reduce the vibration and keep the mirrors tight to the vehicle. I would suggest staying with a clip-on mirror versus a clamp-on style mirror for a more secure fit. The K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors - Clip On part # KS3891-2 are extra-large towing mirrors that attach in the same manner but has a better review rating than the dual lens mirrors.

@DeniseR I first tried the simple side mirror extensions and found them worthless. Unless you are on a long straight road, you’ll never see or notice anyone behind you. They simply did not go out far enough from the doors to serve any worthwhile purpose. ?? We drive a 2019 Jeep Wrangler, pulling a travel trailer.

@Adw Thanks for sharing your experience! Mirror extensions can definitely be hit-or-miss depending on the vehicle and trailer combination. It sounds like they just didn't provide enough extension on your Wrangler to give you the visibility you needed. Feedback like this is really helpful for others towing with a Jeep and trying to decide which style of towing mirror will work best for them.
