Looking For Replacement Cover For FanTastic RV Roof Vent 810041

Question:

Fantastic- Fan vent cover for model 810041 manufactured in 2014. Do you have one available? I bought one locally but the overall size is slightly different and the slide bracket is not the same. As a result the lid does not close properly.

Hey Dave, thanks for reaching out. We should have a vent cover for that, but I wasn't able to find any good references for the part number you provided, so we will need to take a closer look at the lid itself. Specifically, the style of hinge it uses and the location and shape of the lift arm attachment.

For example, the Replacement Dome for Dometic FanTastic RV Roof Vents # FVK1020-19 has a continuous metal hinge, and the lift arm bracket is offset to one side. I've included a picture of the underside of the lid so you can see what that looks like.

Does this match up with your vent? What lid did you buy locally?

My old one met a tree limb. It required drilling out the rivets to get the broken one off but was a relatively easy swap.

My vent cover was direct replacement; no modification required. It is 2023 motor home

I have a 2005 Winnebago. I took out the screws on the bottom of the old hinge and installed the new one I purchased from Jesse. Perfect fit and the lift arm lined up perfectly. I was actually surprised it when so smooth. Have a good one.
