Question:

I have a Reese quick slide fifth wheel hitch. I am looking for the rails and mounting brackets that fit a 2026 Silverado 1500.

Congrats on the new truck Richard! To add a set of 5th wheel rails and brackets to your 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500, I recommend the B&W item # BWRVK2504. This set of rails is industry standard which means it will work with your Reese Kwik-Slide 5th wheel hitch. The brackets are custom fit and install in pre-existing holes in your Silverado's frame with the included hardware.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness item # C58FV. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your Sierra and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.

I installed these rails in my 2026 Trail Boss Custom Chevrolet truck. They work great with my Reese 5th wheel hitch. The wiring harness didn’t work out because my truck didn’t have a factory cut hole in the bed for it. The rails were a booger to install, but me and a buddy “got er done”.

@DonP. For the bed plug, you just need a hole saw. If I remember correctly it’s a 1 1/4”. Mark a spot inside the bed a few inches ahead of the tail light and drill the hole. Debur it with a file and run the plug down through it. Hardest part is finding the factory plug up by the spare tire and plug it in.

The rail kit will work with your Reese hitch. They’re not difficult to install, I’ve done a few of them. Take your time, get your measurements correct before drilling the holes. Measure twice drill once is the minimum, more like measure twice and verify two more times. Some of the bolts can be difficult to get to without being double jointed. Just take your time. Plan on a few hours to complete.
