Question:

I dont need 2000 lb tongue weight or 20,000 lb trailer weight. Is there a version of this hitch for 1000 lb tongue weight and 10,000 lb trailer weight? Also, are different shanks available to allow us to open our tailgate while hitched up? The concept looks good so Im interested in one that better suits our trailer.

Hey Michael, welcome back again! The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution # BLU66FR has the 1,000 TW/10,000 lb GTW rating you're looking for. There isn't an option that comes with an extended shank, but you can swap it out with the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Shank for 2" Hitches # BLU64ER. This extends out 18" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the adjustment holes for tailgate clearance.
