Question:

I have a tandem axle 5th wheel and plan to get the triple axle life kit to get the max lift out of it but I’m getting confused with what exactly I need, how much I need of it and where I need to measure with regards to the shackles and wet bolts?

Hey J.J. welcome back! The Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit item # RR55QX is exactly what you need to lift your tandem axle 5th wheel trailer. This kit comes with all the necessary brackets and hardware to lift your trailer the full 2-1/4". They'll attach directly to your trailer's three spring hangers.

As far as replacement suspension bolts and shackle straps go, MORryde makes a couple of kits specifically designed for the Correct Track item # RR55QX. These come with longer wet bolts designed to accommodate the extra thickness from the Correct Track brackets being attached to the spring hangers. To determine which one you need you'll want to measure from the center to center of the bolt holes on one of your shackle straps and go with the closest option.

If you have 2-1/4" shackles you need the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers w Correct Track item # MR58ZR. If you have 3-1/8" shackles you'll need the item # MR98ZR instead.

What kind of equalizers do you have and are you interested in replacing those while you've got your suspension broken down? If so I'll just need the measurements you see on the diagram below.

@Jj You're welcome! It'll improve your ride quality if yours are older and worn out or basic ones without cushioning. New equalizers will help absorb bumps and vibrations.

@JerredH Is it more important to level my Toyhauler or level my truck when towing? I have a Ram 2500 on 35s with a leveling kit.

@JerredH I also saw a comment about “ The product is designed for use on 2" ID spring supports, however our supports are 1-7/8" ID.” is this something I should also be measuring?
