Hey Angel, thanks for the information! To replace your Dometic Penguin AC unit you'll need to replace the entire system with the . None of the newer AC units are compatible with the older Dometic air boxes because of the EPA mandated refrigerant change at the beginning of 2025. Your Dometic Penguin has the old R410A refrigerant in it which has been phased out.

For a replacement AC system, I recommend the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System item # ADV95SR. This 13,500 btu system has the more efficient R32 refrigerant. The air distribution box can be used in both ducted and ductless applications. A start capacitor is included to help with the electrical draw when the AC kicks on. This system also comes with a thermostat.

We also have this same setup available with a black AC unit, Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System item # ADV85SR.

What part of your RV are you replacing the AC in and what kind of trailer or motorhome do you have?

@AngelR There sure is! They are the Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump item # FR27TQ in black or item # FR59TQ in white. These 18,000 btu systems have a built in heat pump and include a thermostat. Please note that both of these AC units are setup to be used in a ducted orientation. Does your motorhome have air vents in the ceiling?
