The Trailer Valet 2" Hitch Ball # TVHB2 is listed as the compatible upgrade for the Trailer Valet Essentials Trailer Dolly #TV73FR .

I recommend this as the upgrade because Trailer Valet uses a custom proprietary thread, not a standard trailer hitch ball thread size.

What style of trailer or RV do you use the Trailer Valet for?

Combination, Kayak and utility. 2000lb gross weight trailer.

@AlM I completely understand, Trailer Valet chose to design around their own ball mounting system, I believe it's a way to ensure compatibility and proper fit with their accessories.

You could use the 2-wire Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector part #RS34FR in place of the Atwood 36681 that you referenced. This would fit in the cut out you have now and has a flange that is large enough that would cover the hole.
