Does the EcoHitch 306-X73991 work with the 2026 Subaru Forester with hands free liftgate?

Hello Jeff, thanks for reaching out. The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7391 will fit your 2026 Subaru Forester and it will allow the hands free liftgate sensor to still work. The range of the sensor will be limited in the area directly below the receiver, but if you wave your foot on either side of the hitch it will activate. So, the sensor will still work, it'll just work a bit differently.

Do you use the hands-free liftgate feature a lot? What will you be using the hitch for?
