Hi John,

From what you're describing and the photo of your switch on the wall it looks like you need the MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus 4-Speed Roof Vent part # MA00-04751KSX. It will work with your original garnish ring in the ceiling and your wall-mounted controller, so you won't need to replace those. It has four speeds and the electric lift that you're original roof vent has and has a two wire design and will easily wire in. The lid for this roof vent is white but if you want a black lid, you can use the Replacement Lid for MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus lid in smoke part # MA10A40009K.

Or, if your roof vents are in good shape and you just want to replace the operator mechanism that raises and lowers the lid, you can use the Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus Roof Vents part # MA10-20281K-1AF. Please be aware this operator mechanism works for models 4500K - 4900K, 4700N, and 4900N so you'd need to confirm what model fan you have before attempting to install these.

How often do you typically use your roof vents when camping?

I replaced two of the Ventline Ventadome vents in my 2015 Spartan Prime Time fifth wheel. In both cases the lift mechanisms had become worn; they would still operate the lift but would not keep the covers securely closed under windy conditions. They would rattle in the wind. Everything fit perfectly in my unit and I did not have to replace any trim. The wiring was simple and straightforward. The electrical switching mechanism was built into the RV and I didn't have to deal with it. The units worked and looked great. I was satisfied.

@Thomas Appreciate you sharing that—sounds like a solid upgrade for you! Those worn lift mechanisms can definitely get noisy, so glad the new ones took care of it. Nice that everything fit without extra work too. Thanks for the detailed feedback!
