Question:
Hello, I am looking for a key for RidgeBack Tilt-Away Hitch Bike Rack. Can I simply purchase this key or I need to replace SKS Lock Core?

Thanks for your question, Vitaliy!
You can definitely get just a replacement key for your Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack # Y02459, you’ll just need to know your key number.
For example, if your was stamped with A148, you can use the Yakima Replacement Key # Y8772-A148.
If you’re not sure what key number you have, or if the lock is damaged, you’ll need to replace the lock core as well.
In that case, I’d recommend the Yakima Lock Core and Key Set # 8880553 along with the Yakima Control Key # Y8007835. The control key is what allows you to remove the old lock core and install the new one.
Just keep in mind, the lock core must be in the unlocked position for the control key to work, if it’s locked, it won’t come out.
DId you recently lose your key or get the rack secondhand and needed a new key for it?
