I have a 2018 Highland Ridge 308 BHS trailer. It is prewired for a 2nd ac in the bedroom. The one in the living room is a Dometic, do you think this a/c will work. Is this a/c is complete with its own control panel correct? If so I would think there would be any issues but wanted an expert opinion. Thank you!

Hi Jeff,
The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner for Ductless Systems part # ADV77QR will work for your second set up that's prewired for an AC. It's important to note that due to a new law passed in 2024 that required a change in refrigerant, air conditioners built prior to 2024 will no longer match up with models built after 2024. This is due to wiring changes in the control box to meet safety standards for the new refrigerant, even the plugs are different to prevent new ACs from being paired with older control boxes. So, if you're wanting a new system to replace your Dometic, you will need a completely new system and cannot just replace the rooftop unit.
Since your trailer is only pre-wired and not replacing a previous system in your bedroom, this kit will give you all the parts you need to get the second AC set up. The ADV77QR is rated for 13.5k BTUs which will still perform well but, in case you'd like a higher BTU unit for greater cooling the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System part # ADV39QR is rated for 15K BTUs and would work perfectly as well.
