Question:

For the bch4000 hitch for 2017 honda crv what is that rectangular bracket and hout is it used do i need any extras to use it its labeled as the electrical mounting bracket in the instructions thank you for your time??

That rectangular piece included with Blue Ox Trailer Hitch # BLU55UR is used to hold a 4-way trailer plug in place near the hitch so it’s easy to access and not hanging loose.

If you plan on installing trailer wiring, Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56370 will to attach the plug to that bracket. If do not plan on connecting a trailer and you're just using the hitch for a bike rack or cargo carrier, you won’t need to use it.

Are you planning to install trailer wiring with the hitch, or just using it for something like a bike rack or cargo carrier?
