Question:

So can this be used on my truck when towing a camper trailer. I would want to connect my e-bike rack I have and then also tow the camper. Is this something that can be done using this type of hitch?

Hey Kristen, there actually aren't any dual-hitch adapters rated to tow a trailer as they are for flat towing, or the back of a trailer/camper.

If you want to put a bike rack in between the tow vehicle and travel trailer, I'd look at the Lets Go Aero Jack-It TS TwinSpin Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Trailer A-Frame Mount # LGA23VR if you have room on your trailer's A-frame. Another similar option is the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Trailer-Mounted Bike Rack Carrier for A-Frame Trailers # CC-275.

Both of these bolt onto the trailer tongue and allow you to mount a bike rack without interfering with your hitch at all. The only thing is, these have a low capacity and wouldn't be enough for most ebikes out there. If you have a rear bumper on the camper, you could look into Swagman RV 4-Bike RV Bumper Mount Rack # S80600 which has a total weight rating of 120lbs. Or add a hitch back there and you can get more capacity.
