Is there any reason I should avoid this hitch in favor of the more expensive options on the site? I need to move to a 2inch from 2-1/2inch so as not to spend a ton on adapting my WDH. Im not seeing what spending a ton more money actually gets me.

No, not at all Brad. The B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch item # BWHDRH25602 is a solid reliable hitch. It is confirmed to fit a 2022 Ford F-250.
I have a better solution for your problem though. I recommend using the Trailer Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve item # e26YR instead of replacing your hitch or buying an expensive replacement shank for your weight distribution system.
The Reducer Sleeve item # e26YR is going to slide into your 2-1/2" receiver and make it compatible with 2" shanks. You won't lose any capacity and it's a way less expensive and invasive option. You don't have to worry about play or pin alignment issues either.

Thanks for the suggestion. We've been using a reducer to fit the 2" shank, but it's not a tight fit and the pin hole, whatever it might be called, is becoming misshapen due to the slop in the fit. It has become somewhat oblong after just a few thousand miles of towing.
