Hi Daryl, I’m really glad you asked before trying to pair those together because this is one of those setups where compatibility matters for a smooth hookup.

I did reach out to Roadmaster on this, and at this time there are no approved adapters that will allow the Curt base plate part # C63WR to safely work with your Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain tow bar. I also checked on using the Roadmaster adapter brackets part # RM-034 (adapters we have recommended in the past) and they do not recommend that solution since it can put excessive stress on the connection point and lead to issues over time. It's best to avoid any kind of mismatch that could cause binding or a frustrating hookup, and I agree that’s the right approach here.

If you already have the Sterling tow bar, the best and most reliable option is to go with a Roadmaster base plate that’s designed to pair directly with it. That way everything lines up properly, clicks in cleanly, and disconnects without any hassle. Depending on your Jeep setup, if you have a Rubicon with a plastic bumper you would use part # RM-521453-4, and that same part number also applies for the steel bumper version, while the Mojave would use part # RM72VT. If you want to be completely certain, I can double check your exact trim and bumper setup to make sure we’ve got the right one.

What do you enjoy most about bringing your towed vehicle along on trips?
