Solution for Reese SC Sway Control Pads that Fell Off

My pads have NOT worn out but have broken loose of the backer plate and fallen off, is this common to have happen? Is there any thing I can do to prevent this from happing again? Thanks,

It is not common for the pads of the Reese Sway Control to fall off. We haven't had any customers report back to us and say they lost their pads.
The best recommendation I can make would be to make sure you get the screws good and tight and use some thread locker like Loctite Blue part # LT37643.
