Hello Tim,

Thanks for writing in, happy to help find the correct SumoSprings for the front axle.

You will need to choose from the following depending on what your GVWR is. You can find that rating on the sticker inside the driver’s side door jamb, or sometimes on a plate near the driver’s seat area.

If your GVWR is between 16,000 and 22,000 lbs you will want the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs - 2 Piece - Front Axle # SSF-170-40-2.

If your GVWR is between 24,000 and 26,000 lbs you will want the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs - 2 Piece - Front Axle # SSF-173-40-2.

Sorry I can not just give you a straight answer, but I was able to narrow it down to two great options.

Getting things geared up for the next adventure? Where are you headed, and what are you most excited to see?

Tim , I put these on my Thor hurricane last year after my trip to Yellowstone . While at Yellowstone i had hardly any control in the wind and I was literally fighting the wheel trying to keep it on the road . After installation (done by myself ) I had an immediate change . I had better control and no one was getting sick . We took two additional trips later to mammoth cave and Cumberland falls . This sumos are highly recommended . Installation was easy it does require some heavy tools to take off the tires but if you have basic skills it will be fine . Hit me up if you need help . Jason

Tim, I purchased the part # 170-40-2 SumoSprings on my Thor Ace and I also installed rear SumoSprings too. It made a world of difference. I was ready to sell my motor home because it rode so rough. After installing these, you’ll be surprised the difference that they make, not just the ride but also the handling. Jerry

@JerryC I am glad we had the right fit for you so you didn't have to get rid of your Thor Jerry =)

Made a HUGE difference is handling. 2011 Fleetwood Southwind 32VS. Keeps unit from oscillating when exiting gas stations and also when semis blow past on interstate. I’d highly recommend them. The original bump stops from Ford are about 3 inches diameter. Sumos are about 6 inches and a lot taller. Wish I had got them sooner. Installed them myself troubles free.
