Will F-150 Tailgate Make Contact With 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier When Lowered

Question:
Hello. I have a question about Part Number: e98874 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2 Hitches - Steel - Tilting. When the carrier is fully empty, does the tilt feature allow me to fully open the tailgate of my F 150 without my tailgate making contact with the carrier? I saw many pictures/videos of SUVs using the empty carrier and the tilt feature, but I did not notice any F 150s. Thanks! Adam

Hey Adam! I'm confident the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier # e98874 will not be in the way of your tailgate when you lower it. Although we don't have F-150 pictures, we do have some from a Sierra and there was more than enough room. They were even able to put ramps on when it was tilted away. I expect it to be similar on your F-150.

Thanks! I also took some measurements and found that, in the event of any potential overlap of my tailgate and the cargo carrier, I should still have 1.25" of clearance between the bottom of my open tailgate and the top of the carrier's sidewalls. I should be good, thanks again!
