4-Way Mounting Bracket to Use with 2024 Hyundai Tucson with Curt Hitch and Wiring

Updated 03/11/2026 | Published 03/08/2026

Question:

If I buy the C94WR hitch and CU94FR wiring for my 2024 Hyundai Tuscon Limited, what part number bracket could I purchase for the 4 pin connector mount if I decide to mount it that way instead of just clipping it on the hitch chain hook when not in use?

Hey Ed, I would go with the part # C42CR for a 4-way bracket to use with the # CU94FR and hitch # C94WR. You'll attach this to the lower bumper edge of your Tucson and it will give it a nice and secure place to mount the 4-way. What are you towing?

Thank you. It's only going to be a small 5x8 trailer. Never anything too heavy, just stuff that's too large to fit in the Tuscon and anything that's dirty like maybe 5 or 10 bags of mulch max.

@EdC Makes sense! Yeah it will work great for all of that!

I've installed 3 etrailer kits on Ford Edge's and 1 on a Hyundai Santa Fe. All simple installs if you follow the instructions. Probably 2 hours first time you do one if you have all your tools ready. After you've done it one time you can cut the install time in half if you ever do another one. Helps to have a second person to hold up hitch while lining up bolts, or use a floor jack as your second set of hands. Tip on wiring harness, use a fish wire like a coat hanger to pull the connector wire UP to the tail light harness. Fairly tight area depending on vehicle type and you need to lay the T-connector behind the tail light with some thought so your light will snap back in place when finished. I used the harness bracket on the last 2 vehicles for a clean finish to the install. No need going through all the effort to end up with a wire hanging down after you finish. Plus---well worth it for the couple extra bucks. Overall--fairly simple DIY if you don't mind laying on the ground to work. Once I did my first car I didn't look anywhere else to buy a hitch since everything was correct from eTrailer. Final note--you may want to buy a step up type ball hitch as these "hidden hitches" are very low to the ground so to be level your ball hitch needs to be raised up to mid-bumper level.
